Dorothy Stott is a seasoned illustrator with more than 15 children’s books to her credit. She has done work for Focus on the Family, American Greetings, World Vision, and many other organizations. She lives in Arlington, VT

Delighted My One And Two Year Olds!

This is a very nice, not too long story to read to a young child under three. (Although my 5 and 6 year olds sat and listened too). On the left side of each page there is half of a sentence that starts out, for example, "Jesus was a baby..." and the facing page says the rest of the sentence, which is always "just like me". The illustrations are cute and capture the attention of the young child. My one year old daughter liked the pictures of the babies. If you are raising your children to know and love Jesus, this is perfect. It compares your little one to baby Jesus. Jesus liked to be cuddled and rocked just like me. Jesus learned to walk one step at a time just like me etc. It will help a child to realize that anyone that grows up to be anybody starts out like baby. (And every baby is special and grows up to be a very important someone). The book ends "Jesus was a child of God...Just like me" It is a board book and we have read it everyday since buying it.

Cute but Unbiblical

Cute book and my 2 year old has liked it from the time she was around 1 year of age. The only thing I don't like, and it's quite a big issue, is it's theologically incorrect. It says "Jesus was a child of God just like me." He is a child of God and so are we if saved but not in the same way. I'd prefer that line to have been left out.

Great for 5-year old sunday School

This little book is a perfect way to help children understand how they and young Jesus had much in common. Since the bible does not tell us much about the childhood of Jesus, Little Jesus, Little Me is a way to help them relate to Jesus as a child by bringing out obvious connections such as learning to walk, read, etc. The book also stimulatess discussion for the 4-5 year old of the differences in what things were like in Jesus' day and in their world today. The pictures of little Jesus and they child today are on facing pages and can be easily compared. This is a good book for home or for Sunday school discussions.
