About the Author
Rob Stennett is the author of two novels: The Almost True Story of Ryan Fisher and The End Is Now. He’s the creative director at New Life Church and an accomplished film and theater director. He lives in Colorado.
Joe Kirkendall is a pastor for theMILL, a group of 1,000 college and 20-somethings at New Life Church. When he is not working, Joe can be found fly-fishing or relaxing with his wife Erica in the little mountain town of Manitou Springs, Colorado where they live happily ever after. Joe received his undergraduate degree in Biology and Education, a Masters in Divinity from Fuller Seminary, and a Doctorate in Divinity from The King's College.

I purchased this book for my son during his senior year of high school. He is typically not a "reader", but I found him soaking up the information in this book. The book is filled with helpful and practical information with various topics presented in a "situation, symptom, and solution" layout. Comic type illustrations, bullet point information, and visuals in the form of graphs and interesting fonts all work together to bring real answers to topics ranging from how to deal with a difficult roommate, to budgeting, to dealing with temptation and standing firm in your faith. This is not a boring book just full of statistics. It is an interesting, easy-to-read format filled with real life answers to the questions on every college-bound students mind.

Tremendous for the high school graduate

This is an excellent book for the high school grad. Stenett and Kirkendall's book reminds me of some of the tough decisions I had to make while I was in college and I believe this book would have been perfect for helping me to be a little more prepared for what laid ahead of me before I entered school. This book is also pretty funny you can tell that this is written by authors who know the college student's lifestyle. If you have a kid or know a kid who is going or preparing to go to school then you should buy this book because this is the book they will actually read and get a lot out of.
