Lee Kricher is the founding and senior pastor of Amplify Church. His four decades of leadership experience in both the church and corporate worlds give him a unique perspective on how to apply proven leadership principles in the church. Lee has a Master's degree from Fuller Theological Seminary and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.

A book for people who love their church!

Lee Kricher has written a practical guide for people with a passion for bridging their Christian faith from one generation to another. The book is refreshingly candid regarding practices that churches hold on to in order to pacify church boards and long standing members, often sacrificing God’s mandate to reach the next generation for Christ. He uses analogies like “barking dogs” and “silver Vega” to provoke church leaders and members to break out of the thinking that “if it was good enough for us, it’s good enough for them.”
Kricher applied the principals outlined in this book in the church he helped to turn around in Pittsburgh, lowering the average age of church members from 50 to 35, and growing the church from 150 to well over 1,000 regular attendees. If you are watching your church’s average age increase as attendance declines, you owe it to your children, grandchildren, and anyone you love who is not attending church regularly, to read this book and let it ignite a fire in your heart that could possibly “save your church from extinction.”

This is the book that I wish that I had written. It has everything in it that I have gone through as a pastor to churches in transition. I learned about this book from Warren Bird's tweets before it had even been published. I bought it as soon as it came out and I have not been disappointed. Our church elders have been working through revitalization by our district which they call Uprising. Almost everything that we have led the church to change is found in this book. We were on target but this book gave us some ideas that we hadn't thought of yet. We bought a copy for each of our ministry board members and we are studying a chapter each month, coming together to discuss how to implement its principles. If your church is plateaued or in decline for any reason, I recommend that you purchase this book!
